UML TAKES FIRM POSITION AGAINST MAOISTS

Kathmandu, 27Feb.: UML standing committee Sunday decided to hold’ decisive talks’ with government ‘either today or tomorrow’ on government formation, General Secretary Ishwor Pohrel said.
He added,” Past party decisions will be the basis for a common ground,”
The party of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has apparently taken a firm position against Maoists who protested UML amendment to a secret 7-point agreement that propelled Khanal to power with Maoist support.
UML also decided to hold on to the home ministry demanded by Maoists.
