FORMER KING OFFERS PUJA, WORSHIP AT TEMPLE IN
MAHENDRANAGAR UPDATE

Kathmandu, 30 March: Former King Gyanendra Friday offered puja and worshipped at the temple in Mahendra and drove back to Dhangadi Friday.
The former king walked to the temple from the Mahendra town outskirt to the temple and was greeted by thousands of supporters
He was escorted to Manendranagar by motorcycles as he drove from Dhangadi to Mahendranagar.

UPDATE MAOIST UNIONS SPLIT

Kathmandu, 30 March: A national meet of Maoist workers in the capital meet Friday announced the formation of a parallel union in the capital.
The split comes at a time when the Mohan Baidhaya faction of (UCPN Maoist); has launched a national struggle campaign with 11 other splinter parties against the establishment of Chairman Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
Maoist unions have now formally split with the national met Friday in the midst
of the anti-party and anti-government of the dissident group.
General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa attended the Kathmandu meet.
