________________________________________ POKHARA PROTESTS WITHDRAWN FRIDAY MORNING Kathmandu, 31 Aug.: Pokhara residents Friday morning withdrew their week-long protest demanding construction of an international airport to service the resort town in the western region. Government sought15 days time consider the demand. Government is be negotiating with China to finance and design the project. But ruling Maoists have already taken a hefty commission from contactors for the airport’s constriction. nnnn SUPREME COURT REINSTATES SACKED JUDGE Kathmandu, 31 Aug.: A full bench of the supreme court (SC) has reinstated Syangjha district court justice Chitra Dev Joshi after judicial council sacked him six years ago. Justice Joshi was sacked for his unflattering comments on Prithvi Jayanti and Nepal Army during royal rule. Niranjan Thapa was law minister then. The court ruled the dismissal was unlawful.’ Nnnn
