TWO GURKHA SOLDIERS WITH BRITISH ARMY MUDERED IN AFGHANISTAN Kathmandu, 31 Oct. Two Nepalis Gurkha soldiers were murdered Tuesday in Helmut province in Afghanistan Afghans dressed in police uniform killed the Nepalis with British army, BBC said. Nnnn GOVT. DOLING OUT RS.200,000 TO EACH DISQUALIFIED MAOIST FIGHTER Kathmandu, 31 Oct.: Government led by Maoists has decided to distribute Rs.200,000 each to former disqualified fighters UNMIN, a political arm of UN that disqualified the former fighters—mostly child soldiers—disqualified the combatants who have come out of the streets demanding reinstatement an removal of the disqualified tag. UNMIN has withdrawn from Nepal without completing its original mandate. Government decided to distribute the dole without concurrence of major parties represented at a special committee headed ex-officio by the prime minister for integration, resettlement and supervision of the former fighters. UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal opposed the distribution of the dole saying government doesn’t have right for its distribution.. Nnnn FRONT OF RULING PARTIES MEETS Kathmandu, 31 Oct.: A meeting of a front of 21 parties supporting the ruling oNo right party has been convened and it assembled later Wednesday. Chairman Prachanda heads the front launched as an electoral alliance to gain two-third majority in constituent assembly elections to write a constitution . The opposition and Madeshbadi parties have also formed fronts to reinforce their hold on politics. nnnn FAIR PRICE SHOPS REOPEN Kathmandu, 31 Oct.: Fair price shops are re-opening after Dashain and before Tihar Wednesday. Government agencies like Nepal Food, Corporation, Salt Trading Corporation and NTL selling essentials as subsidized prices. Nnnn
